We also do some root canals and extractions, but if we feel your case would benefit from a specialist's unique talents, we are fortunate to have wonderful endodontists, oral surgeons, periodontists, orthodontists, as well as pediatric dentists with whom we work closely.
In addition, if you have an athlete in the family participating in contact sports, we can make a custom mouth guard made to fit you and you only. Available in a number of school colors, this individualized mouth guard will protect the teeth from impact, minimize risk of concussion in contact sports, and fit slim enough it won't obstruct the airway. Some over-the-counter guards are made "one-size-fits-all" and are very bulky in the mouth.
Comfort And Convenience
We understand dental appointments can be a stressful time for some patients. To that end, we strive to make your visit as enjoyable as possible. We will give you shaded glasses to wear so the overhead light does not seem too bright. We will offer you CD players with headphones to take your mind off the appointment and block out noise. We carry a large selection of CDs with many varieties of music to enjoy. We encourage you to bring your own MP3 players should you have music you'd prefer to listen to while at your appointment. If fear of dental injections has kept you from having teeth worked on in the past, we place numbing gels in a variety of flavors prior to local anesthetic administration. We strive to constantly work on the latest techniques to provide pain-free injections.
We also carry some of the leading brands in electric toothbrushes and other dental aids. We are pleased to sell both Sonicare sonic toothbrushes and Braun Oral B oscillating toothbrushes in rechargeable stands. We also carry electric Waterpics and floss-aids. Because we sell our electric toothbrushes and Waterpics virtually at cost, you will not find a better bargain anywhere on the oral health care products you use.
Billing
Our administrative staff will be happy to explain to you costs associated with dental treatment and making sense of insurance benefits. If you have dental insurance, we will gladly bill directly to your insurance company. Any balance remaining after insurance will be billed to you. If you have dual insurance coverage, we will provide for you the paperwork that you will need to submit to your second insurance company so that benefits may go directly to you. For patients not submitting to insurance companies, we ask that you pay for services rendered at the time of treatment. For larger cases such as crowns, bridges, implants, onlays, etc., we ask for half payment at the time the treatment is begun and the second half at the time it's delivered.
We accept all major forms of payment to make treatment more convenient. We will accept cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. We work with Care Credit to set up payment plans for large cases that can be paid over months to years, depending on which plan our patients decide upon.
Looking Ahead To The Future
Although we are located in a classic building with a long-standing history, we are always striving to keep pace with the many advances not only in dentistry, but overall technology as well. To that end, we have invested in state-of-the-art equipment and always use the latest, clinically proven materials in our dentistry. The entire staff actively engages in continuing education courses and feel you will find us knowledgeable in all the latest dental innovations.
Furthermore, we have recently installed computers in every operatory with the latest practice management software to make scheduling and time management as efficient as possible. As software progresses, we aim to provide you with real-time dental insurance information via internet connection so that you will know exactly how much your insurance provides, how much remains, and other information such as maximums and deductibles. All of our examination rooms are installed with intra-oral cameras so that we may demonstrate to you what we are seeing in your mouth (a picture paints a thousand words!). In the future, we hope to use our computerized office to become truly paperless with all of your chart information securely stored in our server, radiographs taken digitally, and communication with specialists done over the internet. It is an exciting time for us as we move forward and look ahead to the possibilities of tomorrow. Regardless of how much technology advances, however, we will not lose sight of the personal touch that we provide and will always place our patients needs as our first priority.
