Fillings
We are a metal-free practice
Fillings are used to treat a variety of dental conditions such as decay, fractures, wear, or discolorations. In our practice, we use Composite fillings (tooth colored fillings).
What makes this filling material a superior alternative to Amalgam (metal fillings)?
- Aesthetics – There is a wide range of available composite shades allowing the dentist to match the shade of your tooth to the filling material.
- Bonding – Composites can be chemically bonded to tooth structure.
- Conservative Tooth Preparation – Because composites can be bonded to the tooth, the dentist only needs to remove the decayed portion.
- Versatility – Modern composites are now strong enough to be used on molars yet aesthetic enough to be used in cosmetic dentistry.
